The Y-Strap is a chiropractic tool shaped like the letter "Y" that is placed around the base of the patient's skull. The patient lies face-up on a chiropractic table while our chiropractor secures the strap under the chin and around the back of the head. Our chiropractor then applies a controlled pull along the spine's vertical axis (Y-axis). This traction generates decompression in the vertebral discs and can be performed as a slow, smooth stretch or as a high-velocity, low-amplitude (HVLA) movement.
